Busy with Rocks!

Last week we were busy with our rocks that we collected from outside. We were testing them for limestone and if any magnetic minerals were present. Ask your child what they all did to figure these two things out!

We found out through our testing that several of our rocks did contain limestone but only a few contained magnetic minerals. We then had a discussion on how geologists study rocks to help us understand how we can use these rocks in our daily lives like in building materials, mining, etc.

This week Scholastic Book orders are due tomorrow (Tuesday).
Cross country meet after school tomorrow in Lampman.
